Discover the endless possibilities of software development with TMS WEB Core …

For more than two decades, the development environment Delphi is known for the rapid programming of Windows applications. Especially the easy creation of desktop database applications and the uncomplicated deployment of the applications to customer systems made Delphi popular compared to other programming languages. For several years now, software can be created for the target platforms Linux, MacOS as well as the mobile operating systems iOS and Android.

With TMS WEB Core, modern web applications can be programmed with Delphi since the beginning of 2018. These applications can be executed completely in the web browser because they are translated into JavaScript.

  • Detailed description of the basics, the functionality, and the transpiler (based on pas2js)
  • Step-by-step creation of the first web application
  • Progressive Web Applications (PWA) for offline use
  • Electron applications: Cross-platform Desktop applications based on web applications
  • Integration of JavaScript classes and controls
  • Creating web services for databases with TMS XData
  • Integration of databases with TDataset controls
  • XData-specific functionality for use in web applications
  • Responsive web design (form designer, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap)
  • The final chapter provides a comprehensive and practical example of server and web application with Google Maps and Google Charts

The content is suitable for both beginners and advanced developers interested in creating web applications with TMS WEB Core.

Knowledge of Delphi (Object Pascal) and the Visual Component Library (VCL) is required. To reproduce the numerous examples, you need a current version of Delphi and TMS WEB Core.

The free Delphi Community Edition is sufficient as well as the trial version of TMS WEB Core.

Amazon stores that offer the book in both languages are:

  • Amazon.de, Germany
  • Amazon.fr, France
  • Amazon.es, Spain
  • Amazon.it, Italy
  • Amazon.co.jp, Japan
  • Amazon.ca, Canada

Please ask Amazon which store to use if uncertain. In Belgium, for example, Amazon.de is usually the store to use.

Is this going to be available in digital copy any time soon ?

    • Holger Flick says:

No, this will be paperback only. As stated in the last blog post before announcing the book, for legal reasons I am not allowed to sell as PDF. A Kindle version does not work for all the screenshot and source code without reformatting the whole book.

      • Eddie Muniz says:

Ill be placing my order today for the book. I am a fan and appreciative of all of your videos and post sharing your phenomenal knowledge of TMS and Delphi. I am an old school clipper/C and now VCL guy trying to figure out this Web stuff and how to take some projects to the browser world. I am using mostly postgres and MSSQL servers. By the way I had seen a video of yours that explained Xdata VLC and MSSSQL and then the WebCore VCL stype app. I cannot find that video anywhere anymore ? Was that removed or do you have a link to it please ? Thanks again, look forward to reading your book. Going to Amazon right now.

I tried to order the book, but gave up.

“This item does not ship to Norway. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally. Learn more
Due to increased demand, we temporarily have reduced product selection available for delivery to your region. We are working to improve selection availability as soon as possible.”

I also tried Amazone UK, but they ony deliver the German version?

I think this is, sadly, going to hurt the total sales of the book.

    • Holger Flick says:

      Ole,

as said in the blog post, not all stores offer the paper back. However, the stores that do will deliver to other countries. You might need to ask Amazon (chat/phone) which store to use. Here is a little app that will help you do find the book in the different stores: http://webcore.flixengineering.com/alink/

I have tried to buy your book on Amazon, but I receive the message:

This item does not ship to BRESCIA, Italy

I don’t know if the problem is the CoronaVirus or something else.

    What can I do?
